SUMMER CAMP: Wheel (Grades 6-12)

Monday-Friday, June 10-14, 9AM-12PM

Open to rising 6th-12th graders 

Students will learn all about creating pottery using the potter's wheel in this fun summer camp!


Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, we will spend time on the wheel creating 3 dimensional forms, learning the best techniques for throwing on the wheel, and exploring different kinds of forms you can create. We'll investigate some ways that potters have thrown on basic wheels for centuries, all over the world. Thursday and Friday, we will dive into different decorating techniques and ways to refine our thrown work.

Students will choose their favorite studio glaze to complete their work. Fired work will be available for pick up within a month of the final day of camp.

5 three-hour instructional sessions
All the clay and materials needed to complete camp projects
A daily snack

Cost: $175

Participant Minimum: 4; Maximum: 8

*Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you can get dirty!
