Instruction and guidance making work

$100 per person

Minimum: 3
Maximum: 8

Intermediate: You need to know how to center clay on a wheel and basic throwing.

Now you can get a chance to work with our very talented local artist, Shadow May, and learn how he creates his stacked forms. Shadow throws or hand-builds a large vessel, and then divides it into sections that fit one and another. Once divided, he hand-builds bottoms so that each section is its own individual pot that stacks and fits into another. He has a natural eye for form and design with his own one of a kind style. Learn from this master in this 8 hour day workshop, and see him make his own work in person, learn about his life as an artist in his lecture, kick back and enjoy lunch with him before you get to work on your own stacked pottery. He will personally help you create your work and give you guidance with his years of experience. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!
