We will explore design considerations for making functional plates, bowls, and mugs, using simple slab-building and mold-making techniques. You will also work with an array of glazes and glaze application techniques. Fired to cone 6, your dinnerware will be vitreous, microwavable, and dishwasher-safe.

Handbuilt Dinnerware is an intermediate-level class. We require that students have taken Handbuilding 1 or Wheel 1, or have an equivalent level of prior handbuilding experience before enrolling in this class.

What's included:
- Six 3-hour instructional sessions
- One bag of clay ($30 value)
- Six studio sessions to use on your own time ($90 value)
- Plaster for making molds
- Access to all studio supplies, materials and tools

SCCA must have at least 3 students to make a class. If 3 students are not enrolled, we will inform you at least two days before the start date. You may choose to receive a refund or studio credit. You can read more about our class cancellation policy HERE.

If you have to miss a class, we will give you a free session so you can practice and make up for it!
