During this workshop led by Lauren Holmes, you will learn how to properly and effectively photograph your ceramics. The first half of the workshop will be focused on using different techniques such as lighting, color, staging your picture, photo editing, editing software, and applying these techniques to the equipment you have. The second half of the workshop will give students time to photography their work with the help of the instructor using their own equipment. Students will be able to see how to use natural light vs. Soft Box lighting for their photography.
Don't have a professional camera to use? No worries! We want you to bring whatever form of equipment you have to photograph your work with - whether that's a phone or a camera. The instructor will have a SLR camera for you to use during the class, but we strongly encourage you to bring your own equipment so you can apply what you learn to your own tools.
Class participants need to bring:
- 1-2 pieces of their own work to photograph
- A camera or phone to take your photos with
- Something to take notes with
SCCA must have at least 3 students to have this workshop. If 3 students aren’t enrolled in time for the class to start, we will inform and refund you.
Note for members: Since this is a one-day workshop, your member discount cannot be applied.
