Get an overview of multiple surface design techniques in this Surface Design Workshop. We'll cover techniques such as sgraffito, mishima, mono-printing, and resist work to decorate pre-made greenware pieces. There will be a demonstration on screen printing for clay and students can use pre-made screens to create print transfers to use on their work. We will also cover stamp making and students will leave the class with their own custom stamps to use on their work. Students need to bring a few greenware pieces, at leather-hard dryness to practice techniques on.

All necessary supplies and tools will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring any carving tools, stamps or brushes you may already own.
Cost of workshop: $65 per person
Class minimum: 3 students; maximum: 8 students.
SCCA must have at least 3 students to have a class. If 3 students aren’t enrolled in time for the class to start, we will inform and refund you.
Note for members: Since this is a one-day workshop, your member discount cannot be applied.
Please be sure to bring leather-hard pieces to work on during class!
