Skin Deep: Slip and Underglaze Painted Surfaces

Skin Deep: Slip and Underglaze Painted Surfaces with Carrie Anne Parks

MarbeledSlip.jpg

Thursdays:
January 24 - February 28
1-4 p.m.
6 classes
$295 per person

In this class, we will explore surface treatments that can be played onto ceramic forms before they are glazed - when they are leather hard, bone dry, or bisque-fired. These techniques will be of interest to wheel-throwers and hand-builders alike, as they search for ways to enrich their forms' surfaces.

This class is appropriate for students who have taken at least two handbuilding or wheelthrowing classes, or have the equivalent of that experience. This class is not for beginners.

What’s included:
1 free bag of clay ($30 value)
6 free sessions ($90 value)
Cost of colored slips and underglazes
Cost of class is $295

We encourage students to bring brushes to supplement those available in the studio.
