Meet our SCCA Board President!

Harolda Bryson, a Chattanooga native, graduated from Tyner High School in 2004. Upon receiving her high school diploma, Harolda continued her education at Vanderbilt University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies in May 2008. Upon completing her undergraduate education, Harolda returned home to Chattanooga where she worked as a Family Partnership Specialist in the Hamilton County Department of Education. Determined to accomplish a long time goal of earning a graduate degree, Harolda matriculated at the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2013 where she earned her law degree in May 2016.  Harolda has now been practicing law for almost six years. She currently works as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Chattanooga where she focuses her practice in municipal law, contracts and transactional matters, tax law, real property, and civil litigation.

Having been a years-long advocate of the arts, I could not have been more excited when I was invited to join SCCA's Board of Directors three years ago. During my time on the Board, I have had the privilege of supporting SCCA's continuous growth and upward trajectory as the organization solidifies its place within Chattanooga's arts community. One of the many things that I admire about SCCA is its commitment to providing education and studio space to ALL members of the Chattanooga community who wish to engage in clay arts. As someone who believes in the power of art and creative expression, I am proud to be associated with an organization that works hard to share this niche art form with so many of our neighbors here in Chattanooga.
